Off the Wall

I ran out of shelf space so moved to the wall. Making bas relief or flat wall sculptures has its challenges—suggesting full dimensionality and mass within a range of a few inches—but there are rewards as well. I think wall pieces allow a kind of sketch-like freedom because one is not duty-bound to complete every inch of a head or bust. Anyway, who wants to look at the back of a head?
